Why 55?

Fifty-five is the point where repetition stops teaching. A thrown form takes about twenty attempts to resolve and another twenty before the hands stop deciding and simply know it; the last fifteen are the best the studio will ever make it. Past that the pieces only get more consistent, and consistency is not what anyone is buying. So the run closes at fifty-five and the templates are cut, which is the only way the promise can be audited rather than claimed.
